EXHIBITION

June – September 2026

Galerie Brachot is pleased to present its exhibition

Comme si de rien n’était…

To present the impossible with the calmness of self-evidence. Without raising one's voice. Without a manifesto.

Perhaps this is the most radical form of resistance, and the invisible thread that connects these ten artists: two generations, one shared gaze that unsettles reality without ever shattering it.

Magritte poses questions to which the image offers no answer. Delvaux suspends his figures between dream and absence. Labisse blurs the boundaries of the living until they become unsettling. Dalí transforms the unconscious into spectacle without ever releasing the tension. Broodthaers empties language of its meaning in order to reveal more clearly what it conceals. Wim Delvoye subverts the symbols of labour with perfectly controlled irony. Alain Bornain paints black canvases that hold on to what time carries away. Jiana Kim transforms fragmentation into order, shards into light.

Johan Van Mullem places mystery where others might place a subject. Takis makes visible the forces that escape the eye.

No forced dialogue. Just a shared way of keeping reality at a distance.

La Traversée Onirique

March – May 2026

La Traversée Onirique explores the act of traversing materials, identities, eras and certainties. Each work becomes a threshold to another realm where reality is transformed.

Panamarenko and Takis open up the space between dream and science, between matter and invisible forces. A Japanese suit of armour from the Kuroda clan anchors the exhibition in time. Sasha Drutskoy, Kim Hyun-Sik, Meekyoung Shin, Urs Lüthi, Michel François and Johan Van Mullem continue this journey — through identity, time, matter and the visible.

Exhibition

October - December 2025

Galerie Brachot is proud to present its exhibition:

RADICAL OR NOTHING.

With this exhibition, Galerie Brachot
presents radicalism as the primary condition for art.
This autumn, the gallery confirms its bold approach with
RADICAL OR NOTHING,
a manifesto exhibition where creation becomes an act of engagement.

The question posed is straightforward:
Can art still be created without radicalism?

Two masters set the train of thought in motion:
Jannis Kounellis, a leading figure in Arte Povera, confronts golden wax and black tar
in a 1987 work to symbolise the tension between light and darkness.
Joseph Beuys reminds us that art can be a political and social instrument.
In his world, even the simplest material
can become a catalyst for collective transformation.

In contrast, the new generation asserts its own radicalism.
Johan Van Mullem paints not to represent, but to reveal.
Laurence Petrone transforms radicalism into a subtle shift a step aside
to reinvent the gaze and reclaim space.
Elena Bajo commemorates the 'common'through a poetic and committed approach.
Lucas Jardin reveals by erasing.
Allowing colour to flourish without controlling it is a creative act.
Finally, Pat McCarthy expresses a raw poetry in BABYLON,
, a sculptural manifesto stemming from an instinctive gesture.

With Radical or Nothing, Galerie Brachot
presents a compact and uncompromising exhibition.

It is a statement that, yesterday as today, true art refuses conformism.
It asserts itself, takes risks, and reinvents itself RADICALLY.

Summer 2025

The Brachot Gallery is pleased to present its exhibition
L’Art de la Conversation

This exhibition brings together artists who question the very nature
of language, image and reality.

Through works by René Magritte, the Art & Language collective, Berend Hoekstra, Hilarius Hofstede, Marc Renard and Kevens Prevaris ans among others,
this exhibition invites visitors to engage in a dialogue where reference points waver,
the obvious eludes us and reality takes on an enigmatic quality.

These artists are united by a common desire, they all want to experiment
with symbols, subvert codes and invent new narratives. Here, words become images and images become enigmas
and art becomes a mysterious language to be deciphered.

From the subtle surrealism of Magritte and the conceptual irony of Art & Language to the sociologic approach of Kevens Prevaris, each work challenges the way we see, think and name the world.

Rather than imposing a message, this exhibition creates a space for conversation between ideas, sensations and interpretations, rather than between artists and viewers.

Through a variety of media, these artists invite us
to an experience that is sensitive, reflective and open
where fiction slips into reality and reality escapes into fiction.

March - April 2025

The Brachot Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition

La Métamorphose de l’Instant

This exhibition invites you on a journey of metamorphosis bringing together emblematic figures of modern art such as Fernando Botero, Pablo Picasso & Frank Stella and contemporary artists such as Johan Van Mullem, Barbara Kandiyoti, Marc Renard and Kwon Jukhee.

This exhibition celebrates art as an ongoing process of transformation. Each artist pushes the boundaries to reveal new perspectives on the world. Whether it is Picasso's bold distortions or Botero's generous curves, Johan Van Mullem's dreamlike portraits or Kwon Jukhee's book-like sculptures, ....

These artists do not content themselves with representing reality, they reinvent it, deconstruct it and transform it.

Picasso's cubism dialogues with Botero's enlarged human figures while Stella's geometric experimentation finds an echo in Barbara Kandiyoti's contemporary and organic approach.

Whether in terms of material (paint, metal, paper or recycled books) or concept, each work embodies an evolution, a transition from a raw idea to an intriguing artistic realisation.

Marc Renard uses partially translucent polyester canvases on which he paints on both sides. This unique process creates an enchanting depth in which saturated fluorescent colours interact harmoniously with the polyester offering a captivating visual experience.
Kwon Jukhee, for his part, transforms everyday objects into poetic sculptures, reinventing the uses and meanings of the material.

Combining the modern and the contemporary, this exhibition highlights a fascinating dynamic, that of an intergenerational dialogue in which artistic codes evolve, transform & METAMORPHOSIS.

March - June 2024

Brachot Gallery is proud to present the exhibition

« POKER FACE »

The artist evokes the concept of the 'poker face' in the art world, which symbolises the concealment of emotions behind an impassive mask.
This idea is reflected in the work of artists who explore duality, perception and hidden truths.
A selection of modern and contemporary works offers an insight into this game of revelation and mystery,
where artists skilfully manipulate visual elements to conceal or reveal profound truths.

With the advent of Surrealism, the poker face became a revolutionary means of challenging social norms and exploring the unconscious.
Artists such as Delvaux and Magritte used nonsense, symbols and the freedom of the mind to blur the boundaries between reality and fantasy,
They invited viewers to explore the intricacies of the human mind and to question their own perceptions.

SASHA DRUTSKOY

Born in London in 1963 to a Russian father and an English mother.

He studied drawing and painting in Brussels between 1985 and 1989 at the studio of the painter Viorica Scodrea, who was a student of André Lhote in Paris.

His painting, resolutely of today, is the heir and continuation of a pictorial tradition. Imbued with surrealism (Magritte) and romanticism (Caspar Friedrich), it is located in a non-existent and fantasized time.
She leads the viewer into inner worlds that are beyond appearances, while keeping an anchor in a physical reality that can be shared and placing the human being at the center of concerns in a relationship to the world around him, the natural order and the one he constructs, the real and the imaginary, the distressing and the reassuring.
His painting is a fusion of the ancient and the contemporary to reach the expression most in adequacy with the treated subjects.

The questions that his works raise are those of our relationship to the world, of the relationship between the natural order and the universe of the unconscious. Through the staging of our questions, our fantasies and our daydreams his painting seeks a balance at the threshold of the real and the imaginary.

Sasha lives and works in Brussels.

He regularly exhibits his work in galleries, institutions

and fairs, both in Belgium and abroad.

« À LA RENCONTRE »

Exhibition in collaboration with Hans THEYS

October 2022 - December 2022

On the occasion of this exhibition, we wish to make a point of nurturing the link that unites each collector with the emotion that a work of art provides.

"À la rencontre" proposes a conversation between a selection of works and artists who meet each other. The works do not know and respect each other.
They discover and appreciate each other. Despite their different styles, movements, periods and techniques, they understand each other.

Between modern and contemporary sculpture and painting, they guide us with the respect and humility of a beautiful artistic cohabitation, an initiatory journey through the present and the historical past which brings us back to a certain reality

« L'amateur de tableaux est d'abord porté à considérer le peintre comme un personnage astucieux, qui cherche à glisser dans le monde ses idées et sa vue personnelle: à les faire partager. Mais le peintre, c'est tout le contraire. Il n'arrête pas de vider le monde de toutes vues particulières; des siennes entre autres. Il évite de s'imposer. Il souhaite seulement, que ce monde sous ses mains s'éveille et devienne révélateur. »      JEAN PAULHAN

Galerie B is pleased to present the first chapter of a selection of works by modern and contemporary artists.

A variety of favourites that we wish to highlight in order to share our love of Art.

A stroll among carefully selected works, important in the trajectory of the artists presented.

One could say that a work of art is the product of a human being wishing to share his vision, his expression of the world and his emotions felt with others, to give a part of himself with the beauty and fragility that characterize the artists since the birth of art, the origin of the world.

We are proud to share with you these windows that open to the visitor towards worlds imagined by the authors of these works that plunge us into the varied artistic universes that are so representative of human thought and the consciousness that animates each of us.

« L’art c’est la plus sublime mission de l’homme, puisque c’est l’exercice de la pensée qui cherche à comprendre le monde et à le faire comprendre » Auguste Rodin.

« WHEN PHOTOS SPY ON PAINTINGS »

September 2021 - January 2022

For its third exhibition, Galerie B wanted to highlight the four painters with whom it collaborates.

Like four worlds of their own, Berend HOEKSTRA, Kevens PREVARIS, Johan VAN MULLEM and Alain BORNAIN invite us to a pictorial journey through their work.
Each one plunges us into his universe according to his values, his history and his centers of interests.
At the same time, we wished to put in resonance their work with a modern artist who is in the same spirit or who recalls the origin of their artistic inspiration.

A second reading of the exhibition is offered to the visitor through a selection of photographs that punctuate the display and invite you to look at the paintings as the photographed subjects do, observing them intrigued.

A look at the present and the past, the origins and the evolutions.
A window to the emotions felt and the artistic expressions desired.
